Hi Rodrigo, when making bilingual or multilingual websites, the template files must be localization ready with all texts wrapped in gettext calls. Most themes are built like that already, your however not.

have a look at WPML the best plugin for multilingual websites. They have lots of info available there for theme/plugin developers

I just translated the static texts. It’s really not that much work. But of course if you want to offer the site in several languages, I can see the point.

But thanks a bunch for this Rodrigo, I love this theme, even though I think it’s a little too complicated for me to get to work. I just hope to learn in the process.

I don’t mean to burst your bubble but your download stats statement is slightly incorrect. On WordPress.org, they show the number of downloads per week, not the total, all time number of downloads. The most popular theme on WP has been downloaded 9,000 times in the last week. However, if you look at it’s all time stats, it’s total number of downloads is actually somewhere around 200K+!

Modern Clix is an awesome looking theme, it’s amazing that you’ve reached 20K without having it on WP.org. That’s a major feat in and of itself.

I am unable to install this on WP 2.8, it says the stylesheet is missing?

Hi Rodrigo, this blog theme is brilliant. However the left column seems to be pushed all the way down to the bottom of the posts when I view it in firefox. It works perfectly on IE though. Is there anyway to fix this?

Like Stacey I got an error saying stylesheet is missing. I am using WordPress 2.9.1.

I guess the stylesheet missing error can be removed by changing the permissions of the theme folder, I think that might just solve it , because for my this thing worls out of the box on 2.9.1.

It’s a pretty theme , one of th best ones out there but there’s a lot of small details missing in this theme , I don’t want to be negative but small usual things that really should be there in every theme maker’s checklist , like pagination on single pages and a few more , example if for say i was to show the archive for day , the h4 heading just would show “archive for ” , though these are things that are small but don’t get me wrong , i kne how to add them , but it would really be wonderful if you could just add em up in coming update. I am launching my new blog using this theme and am in the process of moulding it accroding to what I want it to be , will definetly share the link with you when it’s ready , otherwies like i said it’s one of the best out there.

Yes, I found the style sheet missing warning too on WP 2.9.1

If you get a style sheet error: is is because you try to upload the zip file directly over the WP admin. This doesnt work, because it contains a subfolder (@Rodrigo: please change so people can use it more comfortably).

What you have to do is to unpack it, go inside the subfolder and upload the files manually to your themes folder. Then it should work.

El mejor theme que he visto en la Web.. Solo me gustaria quitar la parte de la izquierda con la fecha,el numero de comentarios,etc.. para asi poder ampliar la parte central, y poner fotos en grande.. Intenté varias veces cambiarlo, pero no lo consigo, me puedes ayudar?

How do you get the archive to work? I’ve been toying with this all night. Help.

The twitter feed was working for me and it suddenly is broken. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I modified blogger.js and changed it to my right username, and I also modified footer.php and changed that to my username. Thank you!

Though the theme is really nice, but there are a lot of problems with the theme itself. And some are really serious one. Though as an upgrade don’t you think that it would be nice to update atleast the body class tag. I mean this theme’s got the potential but it’s so stone age code. UPDATE!!!!

1. How do I get the Archive pages to work?
2. How do I get more than one Tweet to show up in the list?
3. How can I have the Twitter links to be clickable?
